This exhibition features 27 photographs of 7 American presidents by New York Times photographer George Tames (1919-1994). Works include Dwight Eisenhower at the Republican National Convention in 1952, a famous shot of John F. Kennedy in the Oval Office, and a series of images documenting Lyndon Johnson's persuasive style of rhetoric. The works were selected from a group of 99 photographs donated to the museum by Frances Tames, the photographer's widow.
