Smithsonian Solstice Saturday

Smithsonian Solstice Saturday

On June 23 the Smithsonian will mark the first Saturday of summer—Solstice Saturday—by staying open late and hosting parties, programs, and performances. Smithsonian museums will be open until midnight welcoming visitors to the free festivities.

Solstice Saturday is held in association with By the People, an international arts and dialogue festival taking place across Washington, D.C. The Smithsonian's Arts and Industries Building will be the central location for the festival, which runs June 21–24, with art installations, programs, and performances.

The Smithsonian thanks the following for their promotional support of Solstice Saturday: DC Circulator, New Tradition Media, Southwest Business Improvement District, and the Washington Nationals.
