On view are some 80 pieces of ceramics--ranging from functional wares to conceptual sculptures and from folk art to works that emphasize particular firing techniques. This exhibition surveys the depth and breadth of the Gallery's ceramics collection and reveal how artists exploit the properties of clay--one of the most common materials known to human beings--for various uses.
