Some 250 artifacts--drawings, prints, photographs, and videos--explore the roles of the fountain, from the Renaissance to the present. The exhibition focuses on historic fountains such as the Trevi in Rome and those at Versailles as well as modern American fountains by Philip Johnson, Isamu Noguchi, and Maya Lin.
