A reappraisal of the American expatriate is provided by the 104 works on view--portraits, domestic scenes, landscapes, and drawings. Nourse, whose work reflects her interest in the daily life of working people, especially women, was the first American woman to be elected to the Societe National des Beaux-Arts.

Co-sponsored by the Cincinnati Art Museum, it was on view there at a later date.
