The hollow round base has a cast iron insert for weight which
is stamped with the numbers: 50, 17, 5910, 1918, 10. A cone shaped
turning rises to the shaft which is in the form of a series of
brass turnings, cone shaped in the middle. The candle cup is hexagonal
and is topped with a flared bobeche. The applied finish over the
brass was listed as "Antique English Brass" in the 1934
Bradley and Hubbard Catalogue: Distinctive Metalware For Home
and Office, pp.42-43. Paper labels with the triangle mark
of the Bradley and Hubbard Mfg. Co. are attached to the green
felt pad on the bottom of each base.
