The Smithsonian Center for Materials Research and Education is pleased to announce the sixth series of the Research, Libraries, and Archives Collections Conservation Task Force (RELACT) Program.
This is a two-day course on developing a disaster plan, with a hands-on exercise for rescuing water-damaged documents.
Topics include understanding the nature of disasters, disaster planning, preventive measures, management of water-damaged documents, and a one-day workshop on rescuing water-damaged documents.
COURSE INFORMATION
Course Fee: $50.00 for lecture; $100.00 for workshop
Enrollment: 50 participants for lecture; 30 participants for workshop
