2004 Internship in Archaeological Conservation
The Smithsonian Center for Materials Research and Education (SCMRE) is offering a summer internship in archaeological conservation, based in Guatemala. Approximately 8 weeks (June - August 2004). Air fare, lodging and most meal costs are covered; small living allowance provided. Applicants currently enrolled in or recently graduated from conservation training programs are preferred; concentration in objects, with special interest in archaeological materials, is required; some knowledge of Spanish is helpful but not required.
