Susan Richardson is a Research
Associate at the Smithsonian Marine Station in Fort Pierce,
Florida. Her research is focused on the ecology of foraminiferans
in seagrass and mangrove habitats, and the evolution of photosymbiosis
in Soritacean foraminiferans. She received her B.S. in Geosciences
from the University of Washington, and her Ph.D. in Biology
from Yale University. She is also an Affiliated Research Assistant
Professor of Biology at the Wilkes Honors College of Florida
Atlantic University in Jupiter, Florida, where she teaches
Environmental Science, Oceanography, other Biology courses,
and supervises student research projects.
