Jack Frazier, an investigator
at the Conservation and Research Center, NZP, has spent most
of his professional career in the tropics, particularly in
the Indian Ocean region and Latin America, researching, teaching,
and advising at governmental, non-governmental, and academic
levels. A graduate of Cornell and Oxford universities with
numerous and diverse publications and professional presentations,
he strives to bring academic rigor to the world of policy.
In addition to serving in roles such as thesis advisor, editor,
and academic coordinator, he has been expert witness to the
WTO, consultant to the Bonn Convention, participated in treaty
negotiations, and is Chairman of international advisory committees.
Jack is intent on advancing wider and more defensible appreciation
of the scientific endeavor, especially through interdisciplinary
work. He focuses on marine turtles, classic flagship species,
for they are an ideal vehicle to promote innovative research,
education, conservation and collaborative efforts on the widest
scale.
