Adam Ravetch

Adam Ravetch graduated
with a BSc in Zoology from San Diego State University, where
he was a certified underwater instructor. At California State
University, Long Beach, he studied Shark Research at the Graduate
School of Marine Biology, and received the Our World Underwater
Scholarship. At Brooks Institute of Photographic Art & Sciences,
he attended classes in motion picture, video and photography.
Adam has filmed and documented the creatures of the worlds oceans
for more than ninety shows, working for NHKJapan, CBS, NBC,
The Cousteau Society, The Last Frontier Series, and The Global
Family series. Seeking a creative outlet Adam then began producing
and directing his own films and won several awards for his first
short film, Ice Puppy and also gained recognition for his second
film, The Next Generation. His last film, Toothwalkers, Giants
of the Arctic Ice, aired on PBS, Ravetch’s next project
with National Geographic Television, Toothed Titans, is a one
hour blue chip natural history film on Eastern Atlantic and
Pacific Walrus. In recognition for his contributions made in
the field of underwater cinematography and marine biology he
has received corporate sponsorship from Nikon, and Rolex Inc.
