Adam G. Marsh

Adam G. Marsh
University of Delaware
abstract

Adam Marsh is a broadly trained scholar, having received two BA degrees in both English Literature and Biology, a MS degree in Invertebrate Zoology, and a PhD in Marine Ecology. Unsatisfied that he had the tools he needed to understand how organisms are adapted to survive in specific habitats, he then had several postdoctoral research appointments in the areas of Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Invertebrate Immunology, and then finally Molecular Ecology, which more or less integrates all the skill sets of his previous postdoctoral research projects. Dr. Marsh was selected as a student in the first NSF-sponsored Antarctic Biology Course n 1994 and has returned to work at McMurdo Station for 11 seasons over the last 13 years since. Dr. Marsh is an Associate Professor at the University Delaware and currently serves as the Chair of the Diving Control Board for NSF’s Office of Polar Programs.
