(ages 8-14 with adult) Enjoy a classroom slide show of the palace gardens at Nagaur in India, and then use an activity book to explore the exhibition Garden and Cosmos and discover how artists interpreted these gardens in their paintings. Afterwards, return to the classroom to create your own miniature Nagaur palace garden to take home.

(1984, 171 min., Hindi with English subtitles, directed by Kumar Shahani, India) Amid India's industrialization, themes of conflict and betrayal erupt when different worlds collide. Shahani's epic cinematic form, in which ancient myths unfold within a realist mode, is fully realized here.

(for children and families) Enjoy the holiday in a fun and safe environment; collect treats from more than 40 treat stations; walk along spooky trails and through haunted animal houses; participate in hands-on activities; listen to interpretive talks; and watch elephants, lions, and tigers stomp and smash pumpkins.

• Animal houses close to the public at 4 PM and grounds close at 4:30 PM in preparation for this event.
