Lecture, with tasting
Popping the cork on a bottle of vintage wine from your own cellar to share with friends is one of life's pleasures and one of the best reasons to start a home wine collection. In this enlightening evening, Mark Slater (master sommelier, Citronelle restaurant) talks about how to identify the wine you like and want to collect, finding a reputable wine dealer, the purchasing and storing of wine, information-gathering strategies, and pairing your wine with food. A selection of wines is available for tasting.
