"Yves Klein: With the Void, Full Powers" is the first major retrospective of the artist’s work in the United States in nearly 30 years. Co-organized with the Walker Art Center and on view there from October 23, 2010 - February 13, 2011, the Smithsonian Institution's Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden was the opening venue for this exhibition. The exhibition includes examples from all Klein’s major series, including his Anthropometries, Cosmogonies, fire paintings, planetary reliefs, and blu monochromes, as well as selections of his lesser-known gold and pink monochromes, body and sponge reliefs, “air architecture,” and immaterial works.
The Yves Klein: With the Void, Full Powers app gives users a full overview of the exhibition and insight into selected artworks with hi-res images, video, audio and quotes from the artist Yves Klein himself.
