Mounted on a white marble base, the bell assembly consists of a conical base supporting a foliated and "C" scroll decorated harp which in turn supports a plain hemispherical bell. The striking mechanism is suspended from the harp with the plunger located on top of the bell in the center. Patent dates stamped on the plunger base: Apr. 8, 1870, Feb. 3, 1874, Aug. 25, 1863, Aug. 8, 18(illeg. probably 1856). A round beveled mirror is framed by a plain bezel topped with a foliated and ribbon crest. The handle has a fluted shaft (oval in section) with foliation top and bottom and having an inverted pineapple drop finial at the bottom. A round metal back plate is held in place with four small bolts. All parts of the mirror are cast iron and are brass plated. Cast into the crest is the makers mark: B&H and the catalogue number "3599."

Rectangular picture frame has bent scallop edges and curled corners. The surface is embellished with a repeating boss border hammered in from the back. A rectangular opening is set diagonally and off center and also has bent scalloped edges. Four small holes are drilled into the frame, two in the upper right and two in the lower left quadrant (one has a metal flower, the others are missing). The Bradley and Hubbard Mfg. Co. mark is stamped into the back of the frame consisting of the names "Bradley and Hubbard" forming an arch with "MFG. Co. across the bottom and the number 709 below.

An outer pierced cylinder (A) is attached to a shallow-footed base which has a raised "dimple" in the center. This cylinder has a pierced design consisting of a series of repeating bell flowers in circles. A plain brass bowl (B) rests on its rolled lip and fits inside the outer pierced cylinder. A white porcelain bowl (C) with hole in the bottom and two attached brass rings rests inside the inner brass bowl. The porcelain bowl is marked in blue glaze on the bottom: "L.S.&S." The porcelain may or may not have been original to the piece. The bottom of the outer cylinder has the triangular Bradley and Hubbard mark with lantern logo in the center.

Brass tray appears to have been stamped from a single sheet of metal. The lip flares outward slightly rising to form the rim which is embossed with 24 squares raised above the surface. The surface of the tray is incised with intersecting rectangles forming a square in the middle. The rectangles are chased with a texture as is the inner surface of the lip. The center square is plain. The bottom is inscribed with the triangular Bradley and Hubbard mark with lantern logo in the center.
