Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO)

The Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory is a research center of the Smithsonian Institution. The Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA) is a collaboration of the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory and the Harvard College Observatory. The mission of the CfA is to advance our knowledge and understanding of the universe through research and education in astronomy and astrophysics.
