Food Voucher

Available in denominations of $10, $12, $15 or $20, food vouchers are good towards the full face value of any food item and include a complimentary soft drink or bottled water. Minimum of 10 vouchers per order, no comps. One voucher per transaction, no change given. If face value is exceeded, patron agrees to pay the difference, including tax. Vouchers expire 9/28/13. 2013 vouchers can be exchanged for 2014 vouchers – to qualify, our office must receive unused vouchers no later than 9/26/13.

Kids Bulk Meal
Discounted meal options are available for kids 12 and under. Additional discounts are available for Title One schools. Choose from the following options:

Option 1:  Hamburger, cheeseburger, or hot dog
Option 2:  Peanut butter & jelly sandwich
Option 3:  Half slice of pizza
All options come with: fruit, chips, and 20 oz. fountain beverage, bottled water or milk.

Minimum order of 10 (no comps). No reserved seating. Vouchers expire 9/28/13. 2013 vouchers can be exchanged for 2014 vouchers – to qualify, our office must receive unused vouchers no later than 9/26/13.

Adult Bulk Meal Vouchers
Groups can take advantage of bulk vouchers that are good towards the following meal options:

Option 3:  Slice of pepperoni or cheese pizza

Ice Cream Social
Grab an afternoon snack with an ice cream social, available from 3p.m.-4p.m. Choose from four flavors of hand-dipped ice cream and toppings, including sprinkles, peanuts, whipped cream and cookie crumbs. Add premium toppings like brownie bites, bananas, strawberries, hot fudge and caramel sauce for an additional charge. Must be booked at least 72 hours in advance, minimum of 40 people. Also available at the National Museum of American History.

Wine and Cheese Happy Hour
Take a break from the day to enjoy an afternoon wine and cheese hour at the Smithsonian. Must be booked at least 72 hours in advance, minimum of 40 people. Available from 3 p.m.-4 p.m. Also available at the National Museum of American History.

Selection of artisan and local hand-crafted cheeses
Served with membrillo, dried fruits and rustic breads
Premium American wines including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon
Sparkling and still water also available


Dinner Buffet

Refuel after a day of discovery with a dinner buffet at the Atrium Café. Visitors can choose from a variety of food options that accommodate all dietary needs. The dinner buffet is served with seasonal vegetables, assorted dinner rolls, garden salad, chef’s choice of deserts and soft drinks. Must be booked at least 72 hours in advance, minimum of 80 people. Available from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. Also available at the National Museum of American History.

Samuel C. Johnson IMAX® Theater
Groups of 10 or more receive discounted tickets to any daytime education film at the Johnson IMAX Theater. Groups receive one complimentary ticket per every 20 purchased (excludes bulk vouchers). Discounts available for advanced sales only - no same-day purchases. Additional discounts available for Title 1 schools. Restrictions apply.

Bulk Vouchers

IMAX On Demand
View a special morning screening of your favorite IMAX film. IMAX on Demand screenings are offered for groups of 20 or more (40 for Title 1 Schools) every morning at 9:30 am. Minimum one-week notice required to book dates, film choices are subject to availability.

Live! Butterfly Pavilion

Butterfly + Plants: Partners in Evolution

Take a stroll among live butterflies and exotic plants! This tropical oasis offers visitors a rare opportunity to get close to a variety of living butterflies from all over the world. Purchase tickets in advance to avoid sold out time-slots. Tickets are required and are timed-entry at 15-minute intervals, 40 tickets per timeslot. One chaperone per 10 students is required to enter the Pavilion.

The Butterfly Pavilion is a brightly lit space filled with living plants and many different butterflies. The climate-controlled environment is kept at 80°F, and 80% humidity. It is handicap accessible. However, neither strollers nor tripods are permitted in the space.
