Wood turning is among the most popular of craft art techniques today. The 130 works in this exhibit document six decades of wood turning in North America. The show celebrates the variety and beauty of turned wooden objects while providing the first critical history of the craft, from the 1930s when artist-craftsmen began to experiment with the age-old technique of the lathe turning, to the present.
