Under the Sun: An Outdoor Exhibition of Light

June 21, 1998 – October 25, 1998

Museum: Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum

Location: Arthur Ross Terrace and Garden

This exhibition explores Earth's greatest power source--solar energy--and its potential as a catalyst for design, both practical and visionary--from sundials to solar collectors. A variety of solar and solar electric products, prototypes, and commissioned designs demonstrate the sun's energy as a working asset.
