Science in the News: Snakeheads Invade Maryland

October 18, 2002 – November 22, 2002

Museum: Natural History Museum

Location: Ground Floor, outside Atrium Cafe

The Science in the News case features changing exhibitions that highlight work of museum scientists recently reported in the news. In this case, several specimens of snakehead fish, photographs, and text are used to explain the scientific response to the discovery of these agressive, non-native fish found in a pond in Crofton, Maryland, in the summer of 2002.
