Museum: American History Museum

Location: 2nd Floor, West Wing Corridor

This showcase—a preview of The Price of Freedom, a new upcoming permanent exhibition honoring the men and women who fought in the U.S. military throughout its history—presents an overview of life in America during World War II. Included are a ration book, a helmet, a Victory Medal, a pack of Lucky Strike cigarettes, and a Life magazine featuring Second Lieutenant Audie Murphy—the most decorated American soldier of WWII—on the cover.
