Museum: Portrait Gallery
Location: 2nd Floor, Rotunda
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy's presidential inauguration, the museum displays a full-length abstract oil portrait by Elaine de Kooning and four photographs, two taken by George Tames and one each by Paul Vathis and Bill Ray. As the 35th president, Kennedy (1917-1963) was the first born in the 20th century, the youngest elected, the second youngest to serve, and the first Catholic.
