This mini retrospective of contemporary artist Simryn Gill (b. 1959) features three works created between 1992 and 2006 and is her first major exhibition in the United States. Gill's works -- consisting of poetically transformed found objects -- examines relationships among nature, culture, and knowledge as well as between individual and place. With her multicultural background, the works will reveal a transnational perspective, evocatively referring to passages of material and literary cultures across borders.
