Location: Near Jefferson Drive and Independence Avenue entrances

Ad Astra sculpture by Richard Lippold, is located near the museum's entrance at Jefferson Drive.

Continuum—cast bronze sculpture (1976) by Charles O. Perry, is located at the museum's entrance at 6th and Independence Avenue.

Delta Solar sculpture by Alejandro Otero is a large triangular grid piece, 48 feet wide and 27 feet high; it is filled with stainless steel rotary sails that turn in the slightest breeze. It is located on the west side of the museum near 7th Street; it was a gift from the Venezuelan government.
