Museum: Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden
Location: 2nd Floor
Charting the development of the street photograph from 1950 to the present day, this exhibition includes more than 130 photographs by 19 international artists. Its starting point is the raw and edgy photographs produced by a generation of photographers in the 1950s and 1960s who developed a radical, new approach to documentary photography. For these and subsequent artists, the street fascinates as a theater of human activity.
