Chita Rivera's Kiss of the Spiderwoman costume, a selection of Puerto Rican artifacts given by businessman Teodoro Vidal, and several objects from Goya Foods, Inc. are displayed in 2 cases.
One case features singer-actor-dancer Chita Rivera's form-fitting black dress with rhinestones and matching velvet cape from her 1993 Tony award-winning performance as the title character in The Kiss of the Spider Woman. The other case features Puerto Rican artifacts, including a toy yoyo maraca, a darning tool, several milagros (votive offerings), and a mask from Carnival in Ponce, donated to the museum by businessman Teodoro Vidal. Also featured are examples of food products, a work shirt, and work gloves from Goya Foods Inc., the largest Hispanic-owned food company in the United States.
