The work of Tlingit artist James Schoppert (1947-1992) is showcased in this exhibition of 50 objects, which include carvings, masks, and poetry. This retrospective celebrates the innovative art of Schoppert, an artist who challenged the traditional norms of Tlinget art while at the same time serving as a spokesperson for all contemporary Alaskan Native artists.
