Paintings, sculpture, and installations by 6 renowned African American art history scholars explore the work of men and women who teach and produce art. Scholars represented include Floyd Willis Coleman (Howard University), E. H. Sorrells-Adewale (Howard University), David C. Driskell (University of Maryland), Leslie King-Hammond (Maryland Institute College of Art), Arturo Lindsay (Spelman College), and the late James A. Porter (Howard University).
