62 works, including plaster figurative tableaux, created by this American artist (b. 1924) since 1950, are on view. Also included are pastels of nudes from the late 1950s, a transitional work entitled The Legends of Lot (1958), mixed-media sculptures from the 1960s and 70s Pop Art era, wall pieces from the 1970s and 80s, and gray-toned works from the 1990s. Segal recently created three works--Appalachian Farm Couple 1936, Depression Bread Line, and Fireside Chat--for the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial (which opened May 1, 1997).
