Museum: Air and Space Museum
Location: 2nd Floor, East Wing, Flight and the Arts, Gallery 211
The 72 works on view include Rockwell's Behind Apollo 11; a Goya print from the "Los Proverbios" series; Calder's Crossroads '67; James Wyeth's Gemini Launch Pad; and works by Robert McCall, Keith Ferris, Robert Taylor, and Mitchell Jamieson. They were selected from a collection of more than 4,000 pieces -- paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, jewelry, ceramics, and textiles -- that provides a visual history of the people and events associated with the development of powered flight and space exploration.
