On view are 56 rarely seen watercolors by Edward Hopper (1882-1967). These early watercolors, made between 1923 and the mid-40s, brought Hopper his initial success, but present an approach very different from that of Hopper's oils and their carefully composed urban scenes. This is the first major exhibition of his watercolors in 40 years.
