Jointly prepared by the Smithsonian and the Soviet Academy of Sciences, the exhibition presents the cultures of Alaska and Siberia from the end of the Ice Age Era to modern times. On view are approximately 550 artifacts including: - kayaks - harpoons - ivory carvings - beadwork - drums - clothing - weapons of war - journals - photographs A film portrays 20th-century developments in Siberian and Alaskan cultures.
