Location: East Hall, middle of gallery space
On view are approximately 106 objects produced by traditional methods that highlight the continuation of specialized skills and crafts passed down through the centuries from generation to generation. Organized by the National Museums of Scotland. A just-finished tapestry by the Dovecot Tapestry Workshop, Edinburgh, Scotland, and a boat by Ian Best -- both created at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival -- were added July 9, 2003. This exhibition complements the 2003 Folklife Festival.
