On view are more than 75 one-of-a-kind works by goldsmiths and jewelry designers Mario and Gianmaria Buccellati of Milan, Italy. These jeweled and precious metal masterpieces illustrate the traditional and age-old art of jewelry making and small-scale sculpture. Included are candlesticks; chalices; coffers; an array of jeweled bracelets and necklaces; 14 large gemstone and jewelry masterpieces designed for the Buccellati family collection; and the Buccellati commemorative cup, created by Gianmaria Buccellati in honor of the exhibition and recently added to the museum's permanent collection.
