On view are 48 vibrant photographs of India by the preeminent photographer Raghubir Singh (1942 - 1999)--the culmination of a life-long project documenting the Indian landscape. India's ubiquitous car the Ambassador -- its exterior unchanged since rolling off the assembly line in 1957 -- plays a central role in his photographs; street and rural scenes are viewed from, framed by, or reflected in its mirrors. Inspired by Cartier Bresson's notion of the decisive moment and the vivid palette of the Indian subcontinent, Singh's photographs capture precise instants and brilliant colors with incisive clarity.
