- Get Involved
October 7, 1998 – September 9, 2002
Museum: Postal Museum
Location: Binding the Nation Gallery, Lower Level
A 42-ounce gold nugget, mining tools, maps, personal items, photographs, and a dog sled used to deliver the mail illustrate the story of the 1897-98 rush for gold in Alaska and the Klondike. The exhibition also highlights the role of the mail carriers who ensured that stampeders maintained contact with the outside world.
