This exhibition features a pair of bison, a prairie dog colony, and more than 40 species of grasses and herbaceous plants to tell the prairie's story from biological, environmental, and cultural perspectives. A Prairie Plant Discovery Trail provides a close-up view of such plant specimens as big bluestem, bergamot, yarrow, blazing star, coneflower, and tickweed.
