Museum: American History Museum
Location: 1st Floor, East Wing
The Hall of American Maritime Enterprise portrays the history of our country's ocean and river commerce with photographs, objects, films, and approximately 100 models of sailing ships and steamships. The exhibition also includes dioramas and period settings representing the whaling industry, a colonial warehouse, a ship's engine room from 1930, and a modern river towboat pilothouse.
