This showcase reviews the history surrounding the signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo (Feb. 2, 1848), which ended the Mexican War of 1848 and set new borders resulting in what are now the states of Texas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and a section of Utah. The exhibition features one of the original treaties signed by the United States and Mexican governments. Handouts available in English and Spanish
